Changes: From July 2007 through Spring 2008
With the help of 50 volunteers, we moved into our new location, the former Econolodge at 3705 North Highway 97, on July 16th and 17th, 2007. Our new homeless shelter campus offers both emergency and transitional services for single adults and families.
Since July, the Inn has experienced many changes. We have hired additional staff to better serve those in need. The facility has also been connected to the city sewer system, allowing the Inn to accomodate more residents. We currently have beds for up to 55 single adults and 4 families in our family shelter.
The Bethlehem Inn was able to secure our new facility thanks to a
new public/private partnership that formed to assist us with
securing a new homeless shelter. The City and County have both
dedicated Community Development Block Grant Funds to pay for the
acquisition of the new shelter.
